Surprisingly good story, a unique blend of the gothic romances of old, complete with eerie house and all, with the fantasy element of fairies, demons, witches and whatnot in the paranormal universe. There was the right amount of suspense, a mystery waiting to be solved and the lead characters own personal conflicts that seamlessly blended into the plot. Definitely an engaging storyline. There was however a lot of issues popping up in the middle that you get the feeling you're already reading the second book in the series. Callie, the lead character is definitely well developed, fully fleshed out and likable. Overall, this book is worth the time to read it.
